Hav'nt fished with Mike yet,like Jason said "This guy rocks" looking for the weather to break to book a trip.

This was my first fishing trip in Washington State and I was amazingly blessed to take that first trip with Mike! Mike is a very fun and energetic guide who PUTS YOU ON THE FISH! I had heard from friends in the area that Mike was the best, so when they booked the trip with him I was excited. I landed my first Native Steelhead. She fought me hard and created an amazing memory I will never forget. This beauty went back into the river so I can catch her next time. I have caught many fish in my life and been on several guided fishing trips before, but this one is special. Mike knows the rivers, he helps you fish them properly, he is very patient, he has a great personality and a true passion for fishing that is evident from the moment you meet him. I can't wait to book my next trip in Washington and Mike better be available because I won't go with another guide! Thanks Mike.

I have had the great fortune to have fished with Mike for many years for steelhead and salmon in Washington as well as salmon and halibut in Alaska. The most vivid was in 1997 when he put me on my first steelhead over twenty pounds, what a day!!! Mike, in my opinion, has a great passion for fishing and is a very competitive person, who wants you to enjoy your day on the water. Since he has started his own business, he has surely excelled as one of the greatest guides that you will ever fish with. Mikeâ??s enthusiasm and experience of catching you that dream of a lifetime will keep me coming back for many more fishing trips.

I have fished with Mike several times and each time have found the day to go by much too fast. That is an indication of a person thoroughly enjoying the day on the river. My wife and I are novice river fishers and booked our first steelhead trip ever with Mike. The river conditions were not ideal, but despite the rain, wind, and cold we went 3-4. I landed a nice 8-9lb summer run buck, my wife landed a spawned out 8-9lb female that we released, I got a late run coho, and my wife missed another strike. Mike knows where the fish are and will take you to them. In addition to the catching experience, Mike is a wealth of knowledge and when drifting down stream he will answer any and all questions, which is a priceless experience for novice fishers like my wife and myself. After that one outing we are booking a trip to Alaska and trying to get back out on the river if the weather will chill out a bit. Thanks Mike!

Was just enjoying looking at Mike's site and decided I would pass on my thoughts for anyone new to this site. To say Mike is an excellent and qualified fishing guide goes without saying. My husband and I have had the opportunity to fish with Mike since he was in high school. He is an upstanding young man, with an outstanding work ethic. He is a joy to spend the day on the river with. My husband and I have fished with many different types of fishing guides, and Mike is definitely one of the best. We would highly recommend Mike if you are looking to have a successful day fishing for steelhead. We have yet to fish with him in Alaska. So if you are looking to book a trip, I highly recommend Mike.
